TowerFall Ascension is an arcade action game with a focus on local multiplayer. Players take the role of the last surviving warriors in a post-apocalyptic world. In this world, the monsters have evolved into giant robots and the battle between the players is for domination.
It was developed as an exclusive for the online multiplayer platform of the time, the Ouyas. It was later ported to other systems as TowerFall Ascension.
Gameplay
Players take the role of the last surviving warriors in a post-apocalyptic world.
They are fighting in an arcade-style fighting arena where they have to kill their opponents to score points.
Each player has two main ways of killing their opponents: the bow and the stomp.
They can also jump on each other in the retro-platformer style.
Power-ups
There are several power-ups that can be found in the game: the life-saver, the armor-piercing, the thunderous jump, the jump-in, the wall-breaker, the time-killer and the rocket launcher.
Single-player mode
Players can also play Single-Player mode. In this mode, they have to kill waves of enemies on the arena.
